Article Processing Charges (APC)
Frontiers in Business and AI is a fully open-access journal.
There is no submission fee for manuscripts submitted to the journal.
For manuscripts that successfully complete peer review and are formally accepted for publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 180 per article applies.
The APC is charged only after acceptance and has no influence on peer review or editorial decision-making. Editors and reviewers evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical policies.
The APC contributes to the costs associated with editorial administration, manuscript production, typesetting, online publication, metadata preparation, journal platform maintenance, digital preservation, and permanent open-access availability.
There are no additional page charges, colour charges, figure charges, or submission fees.
Waiver Policy
Frontiers in Business and AI is committed to supporting researchers who may have limited access to publication funding.
Authors from low-income countries, including eligible countries in Africa, may apply for a full waiver of the Article Processing Charge.
Eligibility is normally determined based on the country of the corresponding author's primary institutional affiliation at the time of submission.

Authors are encouraged to request a waiver before payment is requested. Waiver applications are handled separately from the editorial and peer-review process.
A request for an APC waiver will never influence the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript.
The journal may also consider waiver requests in cases of genuine financial hardship at the discretion of the publisher.
Payment
Authors will receive payment instructions only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
Payment of an APC does not guarantee publication, and no payment is requested before an editorial decision has been made.
